S IMMO AG starts the construction of THE MARK office project

 

• THE MARK will be the first major class A office building developed in Bucharest CBD after ten years

Bucharest, 12 September 2016 – Austrian real estate investment company S IMMO AG started the construction of THE MARK office building in Bucharest, Romania. With a gross leasable area of approximately 24,000 m² comprised in two class A+ buildings located on the new Uranus boulevard, THE MARK is the first major class A office project to be built in Bucharest CBD after a pause of approximately 10 years. >>>


Bucharest, 12 September 2016 – Austrian real estate investment company S IMMO AG started the construction of THE MARK office building in Bucharest, Romania. With a gross leasable area of approximately 24,000 m² comprised in two class A+ buildings located on the new Uranus boulevard, THE MARK is the first major class A office project to be built in Bucharest CBD after a pause of approximately 10 years.

THE MARK will comprise two office buildings – a 14 storey tower and a 6 levels podium-building – with a total built area of 43,000 m² and a combined GLA of approximately 24,000 m². Moreover, the project will benefit of a generous parking area with 345 car lots (300 underground and 45 above ground), as well as bicycle racks and electrical vehicle charging stations.

Ideally located at the junction of Buzesti Street (the new Uranus Boulevard) with Calea Grivitei, very close to Victoriei Square, THE MARK benefits from all the opportunities offered by the central location, including excellent accessibility by all means of transportation, high visibility and a plethora of facilities within walking distance.

The construction works started in July 2016 and are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.

Starting from the developers’ objective to establish new standards in terms of design vision and the use of new-generation technology, the project is conceived by one of the famous international European architects, Chapman Taylor. It will offer a whole new perspective on the corporate environment for working and living.

Also, THE MARK is targeting a BREEAM "Excellent" sustainability rating. The construction company in charge of the development is STRABAG AG. The leasing process will start in the fourth quarter of 2016, with CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle to act as the project’s co-exclusive leasing agents.
